JISOO AT CANNESERIES TO RECEIVE THE MADAME FIGARO RISING STAR AWARD

A pop icon with over 80 million followers and an international star of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, JISOO is now an actress to watch. She will walk the pink carpet at the CANNESERIES festival on April 23, where she will receive the Madame Figaro RisingStar Award, which honors a personality who has truly become a major figure of the industry.

A member of the global phenomenon BLACKPINK, JISOO has established herself over the past several years as one of the most influential figures in worldwide pop culture.

JISOO is a South Korean artist who debuted in 2016 as a member of the global group BLACKPINK. Alongside her music career, she has gradually developed her presence as an actress, through music videos, advertising campaigns, television series, and films. In 2021, JISOO took on her first leading television role in the television series Snowdrop, which garnered significant domestic and international attention. In 2023, she made a special appearance as a traditional fairy in the film Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman. In 2025, JISOO made a major leap in her acting career, starring in the film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy and leading the television series Newtopia. JISOO also stars in the series Boyfriend on Demand, where she showcases a new dimension of her acting range.

Her work has been recognized multiple times at major award ceremonies, with nominations and wins in acting categories, including Best New Actress at the 2nd DDU Awards, Best Actress in a Series at the Brazil Acervo Awards, Hallyu Drama Actress Award and Asian Star Award (International Category) at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
